It's a blizzard!

It is the most amazing day! You should see the amount of snow that is descending upon us at an extremely rapid pace, we have about 3 inches now with 12 more on the way. I got a snow day today (and maybe tomorrow too!) and am very pleased to be snug inside with hot tea and the most adorable and exhausted dog. He and two of his buddies, Charlie and Jacoby met this morning for a romp on the beach. Susie and I had a nice stroll taking in the peace and solitude of this beautiful beach we are so fortunate to live right beside.
I am happy to be back inside preparing to put on my favorite paisley apron and whip up a white cake with vanilla pudding hidden inside. The sheer delight of a snowy day in Maine is just too much to handle, I may make some Mexican hot chocolate to accompany that cake!

Parson's Beach

We had such an incredibly beautiful day at the lovely Parson's Beach in Kennebunkport, Maine. My assistant Anne and I had many a laugh chasing these adorable Gannon girls around and dodging fistfulls of sand. Have you ever seen more fabulous hair!

Dog Days of Summer

What's better than a gorgeous summer day at the beach.......? A gorgeous summer day at the beach with 3 extremely handsome Labradors and their 5 dog-loving owners! These 3 were a riot--chasing each other, running straight into their owners legs, one even caused a major collision resulting in a man-down situation. These were a stick-thieving, ball-sniping, naughty bunch who will likely be tired for days!

Thurlow Family

I had the best time last night photographing a house overflowing with beasts! Two rascally ferrets, two very high energy dogs and two very naughty cats! I was in heaven! Still working on the editing but here's a little preview. Thanks Anne and Adam for sharing your beasts with me! It was bitter sweet to hold ferrets again.....ahhhhh....

what ever shall i do

It is the most amazing day here in Old Orchard. The sun is shining, I already got a run in, showered, had a ton of coffee while flipping through inspiring magazines which have filled my brain with too many great ideas...I have no idea what to do from here. I absolutely need to address a huge stack of wedding invitations (that have turned out beautifully thanks to the Diva Paper Company!) and get them in the mail...BUT my delightful almost-husband and I both have the day off and well...., to be honest I can hear the waves from the deck and they are indeed whispering my name. Perhaps the invites should wait till evening! See ya, I'm off to the beach!
